Setting the Stage for a Successful Move
Even when hiring the best residential movers, a little preparation goes a long way in ensuring moving day runs smoothly and efficiently.
Clear the Pathways
Ensure that all walkways, hallways, and staircases are completely clear of obstacles. Remove small rugs, potted plants, and any clutter that could pose a tripping hazard for the moving crew.
Prepare Your Appliances
If you are moving appliances, they need to be prepped. Defrost and clean your refrigerator at least 24 hours before the move. Disconnect your washer and dryer, and ensure all hoses are drained.
Secure Valuables and Important Documents
Gather all your important documents (passports, birth certificates, financial records), jewelry, and small electronics. These items should travel with you personally in your vehicle, not in the moving truck. Learn about our moving process to understand how we coordinate with you on moving day.
